A Mentoring Matters training day will take place on Saturday October 19 at Christ Church Parish, Lisburn.
Led and facilitated by the Rev James Lawrence, CPAS leadership principal, this event will explore the difference that mentoring can make in the life of the local parish church, covering the following:
Session 1: Explores what Christian mentoring is, and why it is needed.
Session 2: Offers a framework for a mentoring relationship (five distinct phases) and a model for a mentoring session.
Sessions 3–4: How to set up a mentoring network in a church and identify potential mentors.
Delegates will be introduced to the CPAS Mentoring Matters resource, which contains everything needed to set up a church–based mentoring network. Each place costs £20 (which includes lunch and refreshments), and if you book three places, you get one free!
The event takes place between 10am and 4pm.
