The Priory Singers in St Peter’s, Antrim Road
The Priory Singers will be in concert in St Peter’s Parish Church, Antrim Road, Belfast, on Friday April 11.
The choir continues to flourish, despite the passing of founder Dr Harry Grindle last year. The Priory Singers are now directed by Robert Thompson.
They are performing A Sequence for Lent and Passiontide in St Peter’s Church at 8pm. Admission is by donation.
A great selection of contemplative music for the occasion includes:

Funeral Ikos
Chilcott: God so loved the world
Sanders: The Reproaches
Peeters: Ave verum corpus
There will also be some short pieces for organ played by Phillip Elliott
