Baptism and Renewal of Baptismal Vows at St Nicholas, Belfast
After the Dawn Service on Easter Sunday, followed by a cooked breakfast, the parishioners of St Nicholas, Lisburn Road, Belfast, gathered in church for the Renewal of Baptismal Vows and a Baptism by immersion.
They later celebrated together at the Lord’s Table.
As the Rector, the Rev Elizabeth Hanna, and Student Reader Philip Benson knelt with Wellington Owuoth the choir sang the Aaronic Blessing. Wellington was the baptised into the Christian Church and the whole assembly joined in the Hallelujah Chorus when he returned to the service.
Wellington is from Nairobi and is a student at Queen’s University.
