Bishop of Connor spends Holy Week in Christ Church, Lisburn

Bishop Alan and chef Aaron Heasley at the curry night during Holy Week at Lisburn Cathedral.The Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, had a busy time leading Holy Week in Christ Church Parish, Lisburn, this year.

As well as daily worship from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, Bishop Alan took part in school assemblies, chatted with senior citizens at the Acorn Club, enjoyed a curry night with young people in their 20s and 30s, got stuck into a Maundy Thursday barbecue for the community held in the church grounds, partook of the Lord’s Supper and foot washing in the parish hall and joined in a City Centre Walk of Witness on Good Friday.
