Diocesan Pentecost Service in St Patrick’s, Ballymena

Praise during the Ballymena Pentecost service.St Patrick’s Parish Church, Ballymena, hosted the second of three Connor Diocesan Services for Pentecost on Tuesday May 20.

A special service was organised for each of Connor’s Archdeaconries. The first was held in St Patrick’s, Jordanstown (Archdeaconry of Belfast) on May 14 and the third service will take place in Lisburn Cathedral (Archdeaconry of Connor) on May 22. Preacher at all services is the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy.

Every year during Lent Bishop Alan runs a series of seminars across the diocese, and this year the theme was Discipleship and Ministry.

Pentecost Service, St Patick's Choir, Ballymena.“These special Pentecost Services are a follow up to the Lent courses and Renewal of Baptismal vows,” said Bishop Alan. “I want to invite everyone to come together to celebrate our faith as people of God in Connor Diocese.

“The services are open to all and I would love to see as many people coming along as possible.”

The next services in Lisburn Cathedral on Thursday May 22 will get underway at 7.30pm.
