CPAS training event on growing leaders in Lisburn

A CPAS training day on growing leaders will be held in Christ Church Parish, Lisburn, on Saturday October 18.

The event will be led by Bishop Ken Clarke, Kate Marshall and John Dunnett, and will enable participants to grow leaders within their local church, as well as help individuals further their own growth as a leader. The day is suitable for ministers, vestry members, elders, Readers, youth leaders, and anyone else involved in leadership in a local church.

About the speakers

Bishop Ken Clarke – Ken has served in Northern Ireland, in Chile and in Crinken, Dublin. Before becoming bishop of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh in 2001, he was rector of Coleraine parish for 15 years. He has led missions and preached at conferences and conventions in different parts of the world. Ken began a new ministry as mission director of SAMS UK and Ireland on 1 January 2013.

Kate Marshall – Kate is a partner in MaST Ireland, helping organisations grow and succeed through developing their people. Kate is a life–long active member of First Presbyterian Church Ballynahinch and is married with three children and two step children. She has served as a Guide leader, Alpha leader, home group leader, and has helped lead worship at home and on mission trips and has recently been elected to serve on Church Committee.

John Dunnett – As general director of CPAS, a mission agency focusing on Christian leadership development, John Dunnett knows the reality of leadership development, living out his passion for nurturing other as part of his 18 years in parish ministry (including 13 years as incumbent at St Luke’s, Cranham in Chelmsford diocese), before joining CPAS in 2006.
