Deacons ordained to serve in Connor Diocese

The Bishop of Connor and preacher the Ven Terry Scott, Archdeacon of Armagh, with the four new Deacons: From left are: Cameron Jones; Isobel Hawthorne-Steele, Bishop Alan Abernethy, Archdeacon Scott, Julie Bell and Philip Benson.At a service in St Anne’s Cathedral on September 14, the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, ordained four Deacons to serve in the Diocese of Connor.

The four new Deacons are: Julie Bell – who will serve an Internship in Glenavy Parish; Philip Benson – who will serve an Internship in the Grouped Parishes of Finaghy and Upper Malone; Cameron Jones – who will serve an Internship in Carrickfergus Parish; and Isobel Hawthorne–Steele – who will serve an Internship in the Grouped Parishes of Ahoghill and Portglenone.
St Anne's begins to fill up before the service of ordination of Deacons on September 14.The preacher at the service was the Ven Terry Scott, Archdeacon of Armagh.
