A Cookery Night hosted by Christ Church, Lisburn, in aid of a school in Uganda attracted an audience of 160 people.
They were there to watch the Two Little Chefs, aka the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, and local chef Aaron Heasley cook up a treat.
Bishop Alan set the bar high with his starter of figs and cream cheese, while Aaron prepared vegetarian stuffing with cranberry sauce – something to think about with Christmas Dinner not too far off!
The audience had a chance to sample both starters, served on wheaten bread, before tucking into delicious cheese cakes, chocolate brownies and meringues made by Aaron.
The two chefs talked about their cooking and the audience heard about the project the evening was held in aid of, namely the St Apollo School in the Diocese of Luwero, Uganda. A team of 14, led by the rector of Christ Church, the Rev Paul Dundas, will travel to Luwero to visit the school in February 2015.
The event raised £840 for the school.
