As we reported on January 5, Jordanstown parishioner Billy Noble celebrated his 106th birthday in the company of family and friends.
Among them was the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, who paid a visit to Billy in the home he set up with his late wife Henriette when they married in 1938.
On his birthday, various local media called with Billy, now recognised as the oldest man in Northern Ireland, and chatted to Billy, his son Denis, and Bishop Alan.
They featured on BBC Radio Ulster’s Evening Extra programme later in the day. You can listen again here – the interview features 27 minutes 35 seconds into the programme.
Billy, and the Bishop, also feature in a Belfast Telegraph video which you can view here.
