Mrs Zoe Holman, a parishioner at Christ Church, Lisburn, celebrated her 100th birthday on January 26.

Among the guests who called to wish her many happy returns were the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, the rector of Christ Church the Rev Paul Dundas, and members of Christ Church Mothers’ Union, including Diocesan President Valerie Ash.

Zoe has been a member of Christ Church MU since 1986.

She was in the Wrens at the Port of Derry before her marriage to her late husband Frederick and after that she raised her family. Her son now lives in England and her daughter in Vancouver.

Zoe, surrounded by flowers and cards, including one from Her Majesty the Queen, had a long chat with Bishop Alan about a variety of topics including the merits of Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace!
