Still Active Club goes from strength to strength

Thirty guests from Colaghty Parish, Diocese of Clogher, travelled to St Patrick’s, Ballymena to celebrate St Patrick’s Day as guests of the Still Active Club.

The club has been in existence for 26 years and goes from strength to strength. This year a total of 90 members and guests sat down to a three course lunch followed by entertainment from singing duo Rod and Tracey; Kirstin and Sophie, two young Irish Dancers; and Alma Suthers, a member of the club who did a poetry reading.

After Easter the Still Active Club is planning an outing to Newtownards for some retail therapy and a visit to the Somme centre.

Still Active is very appreciative of the Ballymena Borough Council Cross Cultural & Cross Community Grants which help to subsidise costs for club members.

The Still Active Club meets second Wednesday of each month at 2pm, September to June, and would be very pleased to welcome new members.
