An evening on pastoral visiting organised by Connor Diocesan Lay Council and held in All Saints’, Antrim, on April 22 attracted more than 70 people.

Guest speaker the Rev Don Gamble offered advice to people considering pastoral visiting to discern whether their ideas are just a whim or God’s calling to action.

Don currently serves as the Lead Chaplain of the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust.

He spoke on ‘Pastoral visiting, what’s it all about’ and took questions from the floor following his talk.

At the end of the evening, many of those who attended registered an interest in taking part in a six week course on pastoral visiting.
