Diocesan Reader commissioned

A new Diocesan Reader was commissioned by the Bishop of Connor at Evensong in St Anne’s Cathedral on Wednesday May 13.
Steve Ames of Kilroot Parish was licensed by the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy.
The Girls’ Choir of St Anne’s under the direction of Master of the Choristers David Stevens sang the service, which was led by the Dean, the Very Rev John Mann, and Canon Denise Acheson.
The Anthem, which was sung just prior to Steve’s commissioning, was the beautiful Peter Hurford setting of Robert Herrick’s words known as the Litany of the Holy Spirit.
