The sunshine did not melt the enthusiasm at St Colmanell’s ‘Frozen’ themed parish fair on Saturday June 13.

The rector of Ahoghill and Portglenone, the Rev Gary Millar, said: “It was an incredible day of fantastic weather and incredible fellowship.”

The fair was opened by Mr and Mrs William Wright of Wright Buses, and in keeping with the ‘Frozen’ theme featured special guests Olaf, Elsa and Anna and many other characters. ‘Guess the weight of the rector’ and ‘the great Ahoghill bake-off’ attracted great interest as did the archery, World of Owls demonstration, line dancing, Milltown Accordion Band and many other stalls and activities.

Mr and Mrs Wright declare the fair open.

Gary said: “We are grateful to God for a beautiful day and for an additional 10,000 raised on our sponsor a slate stall for the church roof appeal.”
