Day of Prayer for a peaceful ‘Twelfth’

Friday June 26th 2015

prayingThree churches in Belfast are hosting a Day of Prayer for a peaceful ‘Twelfth’ on Saturday July 11.

Organised by Divine Healing Ministries, the three locations are St Finnian’s Church, Cregagh Road; Shankill Methodist Church (corner of Berlin Street); and Malone Presbyterian Church (corner of Lisburn Road and Balmoral Avenue).

Brother David Jardine, one of the organisers, said: “Last year there was a Day of Prayer on 11th July on the same theme, and police said it was the quietest 12th for years.  So prayer definitely changes things.”

The Day of Prayer lasts from 10am until 4pm.  People are welcome to come and go as they please in any of the three locations. There will be people to lead each hour, but most of the time will be spent in silent prayer.

Refreshments will be offered throughout the day.

For further information please contact Brother David Jardine Tel: 028 90311532.
