It’s going to be a busy year for young people across Connor Diocese with an exciting schedule of events planned by the Engage Connor Youth Council.

Events include a Leaders’ Retreat, prayer event, sports event, Summer Madness, Streetreach and the annual Connor Takes the Castle weekend.

Diocesan Youth Officer Christina Baillie, a member of the Engage Connor Youth Council, said it was important for young people and their leaders from different parishes to come together regularly during the year.

“The value of having events for leaders and young people across the diocese allows the opportunity to become community and know that we are not the only ones meeting on a week to week basis,” Christina said.

“For young people the chance to come together and enjoy activities with a wide range of other young people can be a real encouragement and can provide opportunities that small groups cannot always run on their own.”
