All Saints’ Parish Church, Belfast, was visited by a ‘Mystery Worshipper’ before Christmas. The visitor clearly enjoyed the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols which was held by candlelight on December 13.

More than 400 people attended the service, and the joyous atmosphere is evident in the Mystery Worshipper’s online review – follow this link to read it in full.

The rector, the Rev Trevor Johnston, said: “We are delighted to serve the area and the city. All Saints’ is a family orientated, welcoming, inclusive church.”

The review was for the most part extremely positive. Trevor said. “This was a Carol Service, not a performance. We were praising God and spreading the good Word of Jesus Christ. We were not aiming to be word perfect.”

Trevor added: “We are privileged to serve in a very diverse area and that was reflected in the diversity of the congregation of more than 400, including 50 international students, some who had never heard of Jesus before.”
