A service of institution of the Rev Mark McConnell as rector of the Parish of Ballymena and Ballyclug took place in St Patrick’s Ballymena on Wednesday June 1.

A native of Lisburn, Mark was previously rector of the United Parish of Ballynure and Ballyeaston . Prior to that he was rector in Killyleagh Co Down, and previously served curacies in Bangor Parish, Co Down, and Christ Church Parish, Bedford.

Mark is married to Cherith and they have three children, Daniel, Matthew and Erin.
