Service of installation follows reshuffle of Chapter of St Saviour

The Rev Derek Kerr will be installed as Prebendary of Cairncastle at the service in Lisburn Cathedral on September 8.

The Rev Derek Kerr will be installed as Prebendary of Cairncastle at the service in Lisburn Cathedral on September 8.

Following the retirement of the Rev Canon George Irwin, the Chapter of St Saviour, Connor, is being reorganised, with the Rev Derek Kerr, rector of Drummaul, Duneane and Ballyscullion, appointed Prebendary of Cairncastle.

There will be a reshuffle of members of the Chapter and a service of installation of the new-look Chapter will take place at Lisburn Cathedral on Thursday September 8 at 8pm.

The following will be installed in new positions in the Chapter:  The Rev Canon George Graham – Chancellor; The Rev Canon John Budd – Precentor; and the Rev Canon Jim Carson – Treasurer.

The newly appointed Canon, the Rev Derek Kerr, will be installed as Prebendary of Cairncastle.

The following positions within the Chapter remain the same:  Dean – The Very Rev Sam Wright; Archdeacon of Connor – The Venerable Stephen McBride; Archdeacon of Dalriada – The Venerable Stephen Forde;  Prebendary of Kilroot – The Rev Canon William Taggart; Prebendary of Rasharkin – The Rev Canon Chris Easton; Prebendary of Connor- The Rev Canon Peter Galbraith.
