In keeping with its motto ‘Your community working together,’ Glenavy Community Partnership hosted a great evening of festive fun at ‘Glenavy Festive Light Night’ on December 14.

The special guests were the Mayor and Mayoress of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Brian Bloomfield MBE and Mrs Rosalind Bloomfield, who are members of Lambeg Parish.

A ‘Lantern Parade’ along Main Street was followed by the switch-on of the Christmas tree lights by the Mayor, at the entrance to Glenaidan Youth project.  Refreshments were served afterwards in the nearby St Aidan’s Church Hall.
