Lots coming up for Connor’s young people

Wednesday February 8th 2017

There will be plenty to talk about at the great events organised by Engage Connor Youth.

Young people in Connor Diocese have lots of reasons to come together during 2017 with a wide range of events and activities organised by the Engage Connor Youth Council.

First up is the The Big Connor Contest which takes place on Saturday February 25 from 3pm to 8pm in St Aidan’s Parish Halls, Glenavy.

This presents a series of sporting challenges for young people aged 11-18.

On March 25, St Patrick’s, Jordanstown is the venue for  Youth Forum Hosts… which includes a range of sessions on issues relevant to young people from answering difficult questions about faith to our identity.

The Third Level takes place on Saturday April 30 @ The Dock Café and this is aimed at any young people thinking about what studying after school looks like, what decisions they want to make and how to consider their faith as part of it all.

There will be the annual Summer Madness Connor Sub Camp from June 30 – July 4 and keep an eye out for a big upcoming announcement regarding this year’s Streetreach which will run from July 4-7.

Young people will return to Castlewellan in September for the hugely popular Connor Takes the Castle which will feature sessions from ‘Play It By Ear’ and DJ Billy Fyffe.

For further information about these events and how to book, visit our Youth Pages or email Diocesan Youth Officer Christina Baillie on christina@connor.anglican.org.
