The Crafty Goodness group in St Peter’s Church, Antrim Road, decided to give the worn chairs in the parish halls a new look.

They set about recovering many of them, ably led by Paula Poulton Marshall (who is also the Sunday School teacher).

A good team of helpers stepped up to the mark: Noel and Annette Beattie dismantled the seats, Daphne McClements and Rosemary Johnston removed the staples, Anna McAlpine cut out the templates, Thelma Cross and Dora Hanna stapled the covers on and then Paula, Noel and Annette reassembled the seats.

A very generous person, not from the church, donated most of the cost of the material.
