Afternoon tea in St Katharine’s

Wednesday May 24th 2017

The afternoon tea in St Katharine’s, Belfast, was well attended.

On Sunday May 21, parishioners and friends of St Katharine’s, Belfast, enjoyed a sumptuous afternoon tea in the church hall.

Everyone was well catered for, starting off with a tiny bowl of soup, a delicious selection of sandwiches, followed by scones with jam and cream, next came the most indulgent bit – a wonderful selection of cakes.  They ranged from tiny lemon meringues to macaroons, individual Victoria sponges to chocolate cake and everything in between.

The atmosphere was great, the food was just lovely and the whole event was enjoyed by all – lots of clean plates went back to the kitchen.  For those who were not able to manage all that was provided there was off course the opportunity to take the goodies home to enjoy later!
