Hundreds gather for ‘Thy Kingdom Come’

Wednesday June 7th 2017

Hundreds of people attended the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ event in St Anne’s Cathedral on June 3.

Hundreds gathered in St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast, on Saturday June 3 for ‘Thy Kingdom Come,’ a global prayer event which involved 34 cathedrals and thousands of churches in 85 countries.

‘Thy Kingdom Come,’ was a response to the Archbishop of Canterbury’s invitation to Christians around the world to pray that people might know Jesus Christ during a focused time between Ascension and Pentecost from May 25 – June 4.

The event on June 3 was one of a number of ‘beacon events’ around Europe over Pentecost weekend. A second prayer event took place in St Catherine’s, Dublin, on Sunday evening.

In St Anne’s, worship was led by David Dickinson and his team from Central Belfast and Carnmoney Church.
