Getting the shoe boxes all ready for their journeys around the world.

Members of the Kilbride Parish Ladies’ Group spent a productive two hours checking gift shoe boxes in the Blythswood Care shop in Ballyclare on November 8.

The shoe boxes are destined for needy children and adults in various parts of the world. They each contain items suitable for a particular age group and gender, which have been donated to the Blythswood Care shop from individuals and organisations across Northern Ireland.

Each box is checked by volunteers before being despatched by the container load to locations such as Moldova and Bangladesh.

A total of 10 people from St Bride’s Church gave of their time to help out.

A total of 10 parishioners from Kilbride were involved in the shoe box checking with Blythswood Care.
