St Matthew’s top quality guides!

Saturday November 11th 2017

The Ulster Chief Commissioner Brenda Herron and the Deputy Chief Commissioner Tracey Braziel visited the St Matthew’s Guides to present them with their Quality Champions’ Certificate.

Congratulations to St Matthew’s Guide unit, 41st Belfast, which has been awarded Girlguiding’s ‘Doing our Best’ Quality Mark.

From September 2016 until June 2017, the Guides took part in a Quality Project being piloted by Girlguiding UK. They gathered lots of evidence of their programme, their policies and procedures and then submitted a portfolio at the end of June. This was reviewed by Girlguiding and Ambition (an external Quality Organisation).

The feedback from this review said: “You submitted an excellent portfolio of evidence which demonstrated that you have met all the Quality Standards. We are delighted to award your unit the ‘Doing Our Best’ Quality mark and badge.

“Congratulations on this really significant achievement, and all that you and your team do to provide high quality experiences for your girls and young women. We hope you will celebrate this success with your members and share what you do with others’.

The Ulster Chief Commissioner Brenda Herron and the Deputy Chief Commissioner Tracey Braziel visited the Guides on November 1 to present them with their Quality Champions’ Certificate and a Quality Champions’ badge for each of the Guides and their Leaders. Less than 200 Guide units across the UK have been awarded this Quality Mark.
