Greenisland Parish Church will be transformed into a forest of Christmas trees for the ‘Joy To The World’ Christmas Tree Festival & Craft Fair from December 7-12.
Fifty Christmas trees will be beautifully displayed, each tree reflecting a theme retelling part of the Christian story. The trees are individually decorated by families and groups from the church and local community.
This is the second time the church has held a Christmas Tree festival. Comments from the 2014 Festival included:
‘This is a truly imaginative way to retell the Christian story.’
‘What an amazing sight! I’ve never seen anything like this before.’
‘It is great to see the local community working together on this project.’
There will be a wide range of Christmas crafts for sale, and refreshments will be available throughout the festival.
Local groups & choirs will be playing and singing while people view the festival trees at the following times:
On Saturday afternoon (2-4pm) there will be an opportunity for adults and children to make Christmas craft gifts and cards in the church hall.
Visitors will have an opportunity to make a donation in support of the work of the church.
