St Bride’s Parish Church, Kilbride, was delighted to host the Belfast-based group Renaissance for a concert in the church on Friday December 1.
The audience was treated to a wonderful range of choral pieces, both a cappella and accompanied, including music for Advent, Scottish folk and songs from the musicals.
The group’s conductor is the Rev Dr Ian Mills and he also played a number of organ pieces by Bach, Ridout and Brahms.
The evening’s finale was a beautiful rendition of ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square.’ Following the concert everyone enjoyed a chat over a cup of tea in the Parish Room.
