Parishes in Connor join European Heritage Open Days

St Cedma’s, Larne, will be open for European Heritage Open Days.

Several churches within the Diocese of Connor will be inviting people to step in and look around on September 8 and 9 as part of European Heritage Open Days (EHOD) 2018.

This year is European Year of Cultural Heritage. The theme for EHOD 2018 is ‘The Art of Sharing,’ as heritage buildings are shaped by history and people and their authenticity is derived through the connections with community development.

Over the EHOD weekend, more than 360 heritage buildings and events are opening free of charge. 

The churches in Connor taking part over part or all of the weekend are:

  • All Saints’, Eglantine
  • Belfast Cathedral
  • Billy Parish Church
  • Derrykeighan church hall and church
  • Craigs’ Parish Church
  • Cushendun Old Church,
  • Christ Church, Derriaghy
  • Christ Church, Lisburn
  • Lisburn Cathedral
  • Middle Church, Ballinderry
  • St Catherine’s, Killead
  • St Nicholas’, Carrickfergus
  • St Cedma’s, Larne
  • St George’s, Belfast
  • St Matthew’s, Belfast,
  • St Peter’s, Belfast

St George’s, Belfast, is taking part in EHOD 2018.
