What a wonderfully uplifting video by the young adults’ mission team from Lisburn Cathedral which visited Uganda with local charity Abaana in July!

The team worked with street children in Kampala, visited Abaana’s New Life Children’s Homes, organised Holiday Bible Clubs at Abaana primary schools, and met up with the children from the Abaana New Life Choir.

During their second week, they travelled to the Gulu region of Northern Uganda, where they were based at Dr Andrew McAvoy Primary School, helping build a new toilet block for the pupils and running another Holiday Bible Club.

The 11 team members were Lee Boal, Becky Lester, Vicki Bell, Sara McGucken, Beth Irwin, Erin Gardiner, Zoe McLoughlin, Emily Lester and Owen Churton, Matthew Cairns and Neville Jones.

There will be full report of the young adults’ mission trip in the autumn issue of the diocesan magazine Connor Connections (published mid October).
