Joy as Bishop Alan baptises his grandson
Very proud ‘Poppy’ Bishop Alan with his son Peter, daughter-in-law Rosanna and grandson Patrick at Patrick’s baptism in Hampshire.
The Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, baptised his baby grandson Patrick at Eucharist in the Parish of St Peter and St Paul’s in Hambledon, Hampshire, on Sunday December 9.
The Bishop was invited to celebrate the Eucharist as the parish is vacant. Bishop Alan, who is currently on sick leave, said: “This was arranged with my oncologist between treatments and was such a joy!”
