Connor Connections Spring issue out now!

Monday February 25th 2019

Spring is in the air and the spring issue of Connor Connections is in our churches!

This issue, with a beautiful stained glass window located in Christ Church Parish, Lisburn, on the cover, features a veritable feast of interesting stories.

There is an in-depth interview with the Rev Canon Ken Ruddock following his retirement after 20 years as Diocesan Curate, while Jim Neill reflects on his 40 years as a Diocesan Reader.

We look back at the poignant services and commemorations held to mark the centenary of the World War One Armistice, and the 2018 Connor Diocesan Synod which took place in October.

You can read about ‘Journey,’ a unique resource written by young people in Connor Youth Forum, and learn more about gender-based violence, an issue close to the heart of Connor Mothers’ Union.

An article on a visit to Arua, Uganda, by the Rev Amanda Adams, rector of Ballyrashane and Killdollagh, for a South Sudan peace and reconciliation conference, is a reminder that prayers are needed for our friends in our link diocese of Yei and everyone suffering due to unrest in South Sudan.

You can read about the Connor Clergy Conference in Co Cavan in November, discover more about the history of St Cedma’s, Larne, find out how parishes have risen to the Baby Basics challenge, and much more.

Connor Connections can be collected in your parish church, or speak to your rector.
