Making sure the Easter Children’s Workshop at Carnmoney Parish hops along smoothly!

Carnmoney Parish Church held its first ever Children’s Easter Workshop on Good Friday, and a great time was had by all!

Staffed by willing volunteers from the church, the workshop was attended by 30 children aged between two and 13 with many of their parents staying on to help.

Fun making Easter biscuits at the workshop in Carnmoney.

The event began at 11am and for the first hour the children enjoyed four different craft activities laid out on tables around the hall – they decorated Easter biscuits, made Easter cards, decorated cardboard eggs and made Easter crowns.

At midday everyone decamped to the church where after some singing the Vicar, the Rev Andy Heber, told the Easter Story with the help of 12 plastic Resurrection Eggs.

The morning finished with an Easter egg hunt around the church, with each team having to find 12 eggs with letters on them which spelt out the phrase ‘Jesus is risen.’

After an action packed morning everyone left with a large Easter egg each to take home. It is hoped this fun event will become an annual fixture in the calendar at Carnmoney Parish.
