Church leaders mark international peace day

Church leaders plant a tree to mark International Day of Peace. The Archdeacon of Connor, the Ven Dr Stephen McBride, helped church leaders to plant a tree on September 20 to mark International Day of Peace (September 21).

The tree planting took place at the 174 Trust in Belfast. International Day of Peace, has been observed around the world on September 21 since the United Nations unanimously voted to establish it nearly 40 years ago.

Archdeacon McBride, vicar of Antrim, was representing the Archbishop of Armagh, the Most Rev Dr Richard Clarke.
