Christ Church Parish, Lisburn, recently welcomed a visit from Bishop Eridard and Mama Jane from Luwero Diocese, Uganda.

The parish has had a link with Luwero for a number of years, having built a school (St Apollo) there in partnership with Fields of Life.

A number of teams have been to Luwero – the rector of Christ Church, Archdeacon Paul Dundas, will lead another team in June this year.

The parish has run training sessions for clergy and lay people in Luwero, and has also supported the training of a number of ordinands.

This is the first time Bishop Eridard has visited Christ Church, although he has been in Ireland before. For Mama Jane, it was a first experience of Ireland. They were at Christ Church last Tuesday, and returned for a service on Sunday evening.

Bishop Eridard and Mama Jane are in Ireland with CMSI, and Gillian Maganda from CMSI and John McMullen from Fields of Life shared in the service in Christ Church on Sunday.
