A Christmas video message from Bishop Alan

The Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, shares his Christmas Message with us as he prepares for retirement after more than 12 years as our Bishop.
It was with a ‘very heavy heart and spirit’ that Bishop Alan, 62, announced his retirement on health grounds in September. The Bishop has been undergoing treatment for prostate cancer for the past year, and hopes to be free of further treatment for many years.
A Service of Thanksgiving for Bishop Alan’s ministry will take place in St Patrick’s Parish Church, Ballymena, on Thursday evening, December, and representatives of all parishes in the diocese have been invited.
