Have you ever wanted to explore Belfast Cathedral at night? You will have a unique opportunity to do so on Thursday January 23 when St Anne’s presents the first of three Messiaen Meditations in 2020.

Director of Music Matthew Owens and reader Ali Darragh will perform one of the great works of the early 20th century – Olivier Messiaen’s La Nativité du Seigneur (The Birth of our Lord) in the first of these Meditations.

The performance lasts from 7pm-8pm. During the concert, audience members are invited to walk around the vast, darkened spaces of Belfast Cathedral (with the main central space of the Nave cleared of chairs) whilst listening to the music and narration. Tours will be subject to availability.

Admission is £10.00 and tickets are available from Belfast Cathedral Welcome Desk, online and at the door on the night.
