Guidance for temporary closure of church buildings
The Church of Ireland has issued guidance for securing and caring for church buildings during the Covid–19 pandemic – including advice for incumbents, churchwardens and vestry members.
A statement on the Church of Ireland website reads: “Following the Republic of Ireland and UK governments’ recent announcements in relation to restriction of movement and social distancing we find ourselves in unchartered territory.
“As an All–Ireland church we are monitoring this situation across the island and paying particular attention to the guidance issued by the public health authorities in both jurisdictions.”
