New resource for young people during lockdown

Friday May 1st 2020

Engage Connor Youth has developed a new resource entitled Right Now for young people and youth groups to use during this period of lockdown.

The resource will share stories of faith from young people and leaders across Connor Diocese. This will be done through videos recorded by individuals from various parishes.

Christina Baillie, Diocesan Youth Officer said: “We believe this well timed resource will provide for the youth groups meeting online and keeping in touch during this time. We are putting together weekly sessions that leaders can use in whatever format they are connecting with their young people during this difficult time.

“We have loved hearing how youth groups are continuing to meet online during this time and know that it is a huge encouragement to the young people in our parishes to have contact from their church family.”

In the first session, there is an introduction from Christina, a video from Connor Youth Council chairperson, the Rev Philip Benson, a story from Rachael, a young person, and another from the Rev Andy Heber. It also includes recorded worship from Lisa Carson and various graphics for youth leaders to share with their group to guide discussion.

If leaders would like access to the resource, please contact Christina on christinabaillie@connordiocese.org and title your email Right Now for access.
