‘TenPlus Radio – The Life Worth Living’ broadcasts hope

‘TenPlus Radio – The Life Worth Living,’ a new internet-based Christian radio station was launched on Friday May 1.

The station will broadcast every Friday evening between 7pm and 11pm. Senior Presenter is Joe Boyd, author and longstanding Ballymena-based journalist.

TenPlus Radio is the brainchild of the Rev Alistair Bates, Regional Director of Timeless Publications and the Timeless online Theological Academy. His intention is to provide what he describes as a ‘listening ear’ for the Christian audience, particularly at this time when the world is being impacted by Covid-19.

Senior presenter is Ballymena-based journalist Joe Boyd.

Joe Boyd outlined the Friday night programme. “We start off with ‘Pulse’ – an exciting music show hosted by up-and-coming singer-songwriter, Naomi Kennedy, who plays a range of contemporary Christian sounds,” he said.

“Jayne Dunlop is in the hotseat from 8pm with ‘Edifying Scrolls: Books That Bless’ when she discusses some of the very best Christian books and plays fantastic songs.

“From 9pm, people can tune-in to Transformations – a documentary-style programme where I interview Christians from all walks of life who have emerged from difficult life situations with God’s help.

“That is followed by Warrior Women of God with Jacqui Kennedy at 10pm, when female heroes from the Bible are brought into focus.  Each broadcast finishes of with a Final Thought and Prayer written and presented by Allison Minford.”

Joe went on to say that although all the output on TenPlus is recorded at present due to coronavirus, it is hoped that, in the long-term, the station will host live events and broadcasts from its own studio.

“We were really encouraged by the pilot broadcast and were delighted to be joined by listeners from Spring Lake Michigan and Dalton, Georgia in the USA,” he said.

“We believe that God is going to do something every special through ‘TenPlus Radio – The Life Worth Living’ – and we would love it if everyone could listen in and be blessed.”
