Lisburn Cathedral is among those churches planning to reopen for worship this Sunday, July 5. Booking is essential.

The Dean of Connor, the Very Rev Sam Wright, outlines what people attending might expect when they arrive for the 10am service in this video shared on the Cathedral Facebook page.

Measures include hand sanitiser on the way in, allocated seating and no singing. The Dean also encourages those who do not feel confident returning to in-house worship not to feel under pressure to return at this stage.

Capacity this Sunday will be around 40-50 people and places must be booked online.

Services from Lisburn Cathedral will continue to be live-streamed, and a second drive-in service will take place at Lisburn Rugby Club on July 26 at 3pm.

The Dean said: “This is just the beginning of returning to worship. We look forward to welcoming you, we look forward to having larger congregations in the months ahead, God willing.”
