Resourcing parishes for Advent and Christmas

This year’s Advent and Christmas season will look different in parishes across Connor Diocese due to Covid-19 and associated restrictions.

To support clergy and leaders, Connor Children’s Project Development Officer Jill Hamilton and Youth Officer Christina Baillie will be launching a resource filled with ideas to support parishes as they engage with children, young people and families over the Advent and Christmas period.

This resource will be launched and available from Thursday November 5. It aims to provide ideas for family ministry, activities for children and young people, resourcing church services and even offers practical guidance for a children’s nativity.

In addition to the resource, Jill and Christina will be hosting a Zoom online gathering for any clergy or leaders to attend to discuss their plans for Christmas, and this will take place on November 5 at 2pm. For details on how to access this, please contact Jill or Christina (see below).

The Zoom conversation will provide an opportunity to talk to other leaders and consider how the resources would be applicable in an individual parish context. The Zoom conversation will be recorded for any leaders who cannot be available on the afternoon of November 5, but individuals will need to get in touch with Jill or Christina to access this recording.
