New resource to support family ministry over Advent and Christmas

With Covid-19 continuing to impact on ministry and outreach, our youth and children’s officers are today (November 5) launching a new resource to help clergy and leaders engage with families, children and young people as we approach Christmas and Advent.

The resource, which can be downloaded HERE, has been compiled by Connor Children’s Project Development Officer Jill Hamilton and Youth Officer Christina Baillie.

It provides ideas for family ministry, activities for children and young people, resourcing church services and even offers practical guidance for a children’s nativity.

At 2pm today, Jill and Christina will be hosting a Zoom online gathering for any clergy or leaders to discuss their plans for Christmas. For details on how to access this, please contact Jill or Christina (see below).

This online conversation will provide an opportunity for clergy and leaders to talk to others and consider how the resources would be applicable in an individual parish context. The Zoom conversation will be recorded for any leaders who cannot be available this afternoon, but individuals will need to get in touch with Jill or Christina to access this recording.
