The meaning of Christmas, brought to us by the young members of LIGHT, the Sunday School at Holy Trinity Parish, Woodburn.

LIGHT stands for Living in God’s Holy Trinity – a name thought up by the children themselves.

Rector of Holy Trinity, the Rev Dr Alan McCann, said: “As we could not have the children together during lockdown, they recorded the meaning of Christmas and we edited it to share with the Church family.

“We showed it last Sunday and will do so this Sunday as presently we are only allowed 87 people in our building on a Sunday morning which is a little over half our normal morning congregation.”

Alan added: “The children loved being able to share the meaning of Christmas – with a message from each of the letters – and it was a blessing to see them, even though not in person.

“The congregation has embraced the digital and social media contributions and even, if and when, we get back to ‘normality’ we will still seek to livestream services and to that end the Select Vestry has just made a significant investment in new technology to help us do that.”
