‘Honest Reflection’ – Bishop George’s fourth Lent Talk
‘Honest Reflection’ is the fourth in a series of Lent Talks by Bishop George on the theme: Faith in the tough times.
The bishop is sharing a video on the Connor Facebook page every Wednesday evening during Lent.
Bishop George includes some questions and the Bible reading for Talk Four is Habakkuk 2:2-14 (-20).
Discussion Questions:
- Do you agree that we find it easier to see other people’s faults than it is to see our own? Why do you think this is?
- God judges the Babylonians for their bad behaviour, but judgement isn’t a very popular idea these days! Why is it important that God doesn’t just turn a ‘blind eye’ to wrongdoing?
- How might this Bible reading help us to reflect on our own lives and be honest about our faults?
