The search is on for the BBC Young Chorister of the Year 2021, with applications being accepted until June 14.

Songs of Praise and Radio 2 have joined forces for the second year running to find the BBC Young Chorister of the Year.

Singers aged 10-16 can apply online by submitting two short films of themselves singing a Christmas carol or song and a sacred song such as a hymn, classical solo, spiritual, inspirational, gospel or worship song.

From all the entries received, five girls and five boys will be selected to go through to the radio and television competition in October to sing in front of an expert panel of judges. The winner and runner up will each receive a trophy and the chance to feature on BBC Radio. The winner will also appear on Songs of Praise.

More details of how to apply and terms and conditions are available HERE. Closing date is midnight on June 14.
