Derryvolgie couple celebrates 70 years of marriage
The Rev James Boyd with Sam and Gwen McClurg on their 70th wedding anniversary.
Many congratulations to Sam and Gwen McClurg, members of one of the founding families of Derryvolgie Parish, who have celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary.
Sam and Gwen were 70 years married on March 26 2022. The Rev James Boyd, rector of St Columba’s, Derryvolgie, paid them a visit on their special day.
“What a wonderful witness of love and life,” James said. “To quote a little plaque they have outside their door, ‘we might not have it altogether but together we have it all.’”
