Ordination of the Rev Andrew Moore

The Rev Andrew Moore was ordained a priest on September 21 at a service in St Patrick’s, Ballymena, where he will serve as curate.

Originally from Bangor, Andrew grew up in Groomsport Parish. He is married to Laura and they have three young children. Prior to ordination, he worked as a paramedic after completing his Paramedic Science Degree in Coventry University in 2009.

In August 2021, Andrew was ordained deacon for an internship in St John’s, Orangefield, Diocese of Down and Dromore. He was ordained priest by the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev George Davison. Preacher at the service was the Rev Dr Andrew Campbell, rector of Skerry, Rathcavan and Newtowncrommelin.

Andrew said: “I am really excited to be in St Patrick’s, Ballymena. This was my patch when I was a paramedic and I know the County Antrim area very well. Everyone has been so welcoming.”
