Christ Church team ‘blown away’ by warm welcome at St Apollo School
The Christ Church, Lisburn, team in Luwero, Uganda.
The team from Christ Church Parish, Lisburn, which travelled to Uganda last week, received a warm welcome when members arrived at St Apollo School, Luwero.
Team members are the rector, the Ven Paul Dundas, Janice and Richard Thompson, Stephen and Karen McKenna, Beth Harris, Roberta Thompson, Audrey Knowles, Jane Hawthorne, Beverley Ringland, Ashleigh Long, Anna Dundas and Raymond Geddis.
Sharing some videos and photographs of their arrival at the school, which the parish has been involved with for the past 14 years, on the Christ Church Facebook Page, the team commented that they had been ‘blown away’ by the welcome they received from the pupils, staff and the community.
We hope to catch up with the Christ Church team after they return to Northern Ireland on February 26.
