New youth resources for parishes

Thursday September 14th 2023

Connor Diocesan Youth Officer Christina Baillie has developed two new resources which can be used in groups in parishes.

Faith Practices and I am are written to be easy to use, adaptable for different contexts and seek to help young people explore faith in practical ways. Both resources are available free on the Connor Diocesan website to be downloaded as a pdf.

Faith Practices is a resource with a series of activities to allow young people to do spiritual practices together as they seek to know Jesus.

Christina says: “It’s a really practical opportunity to get young people engaged and exploring faith for themselves. There are 12 sessions focusing on different practices. Each session includes a Bible passage, introduction to a spiritual practice, points for teaching and an activity to do together.”

The I am resource has 14 sessions exploring the ‘I am’ statements of Jesus, and identity statements about who we are in Christ. There are seven of each and these can be used in whatever order works best for the parish. There are three areas of focus in each session: To help grow in knowledge & understanding to remember the truth; to consider the difference this could make.
